Quenched 100 X 100 cm (2013)
The painting "Quenched" is chosen to represent the abstract group and is one of a series inspired by Icelandic subglacial and marine volcanic eruptions which produce fantastic shapes and colours. Sudden cooling of the magma by water results in fragmentation. The colours and water molecules are very much a part of the painting.
My other abstract work is very varied but is often rooted in the natural world.
